PAWa artists are encouraged to come to Anacortes and 'Paint the Town' and environs
within the cities boundaries. Insights Gallery in Anacortes is sponsoring a PAWa
reception and showing at the gallery on Saturday, 11 September '10 from 4:30 to
8:00PM.
This is not a juried show with an entry fee, but a reception and exhibition opportunity
for PAWa members. Paint any time up to and including a main painting day and
turn in on Saturday, 11 September. Bring your plein air painting signs and be
seen painting in Anacortes. The reception at Insights Gallery is from 4:30 to
8:00. Submit your paintings framed and ready to hang by 4:30, but no later
than 5:30, at the Gallery, 604 Commercial Street n the center of old town. Paintings
will be hung when submitted. Paintings will hang in the Gallery for an additional
week after the reception. Artists receive 50% of sale price, set by the artist,
and sold by the Gallery. If you have completed paintings on Anacortes earlier,
you can submit them to the Gallery on Friday, 10 September, 11:00 to 4:00 and
Saturday, 11 September after 11:00.
Within Anacortes are great downtown scenes and variety including marinas, boatworks,
a ferry landing and other townscpes..........come paint!
